Dynamic Voltage Regulation and Unbalance Compensation in a Low-Voltage Distribution Network Using Energy Storage System

چکیده

Modern distribution grids may suffer problems of voltage distortion, especially along radial low-voltage feeders with a high penetration intermittent, unbalanced and distorted loads generation sources. It is challenge to develop an effective voltage-regulation method using straightforward implementation. This paper proposes novel for local control balancing shunt-connected energy storage system. The compensation principles are explained, complete controller design proposed. algorithm designed be implemented in power electronic converters that provide the interface between grid. original contribution development low-level method, which includes minimize compensator current calculation active reactive currents explained relation estimated grid impedance. efficacy verified by laboratory experiments. shown regulation proposed achieved less apparent compared system where only used. presents very good dynamic response rapid variations, such as dips. applicability constraints discussed respect present state art low-voltage-grid regulation.
